My daughter is enjoying King, and i believe that King staff and faculty work hard to make sure the school environment is healthy, productive, and conducive of learning and social growth for each child. The place is full of pre-teens, tweens, and new teenagers, so there may be a bit of drama and angst, but for the most part I see that parents are actively engaged, staff are well-trained and prepared to deal with any on-campus problems, and students are smart and self-aware.

My daughter loves her teachers -- even those that challenge her -- and has made lots of friends from each and every part of Berkeley. I want King to be exemplary for all students. My daughter's experience with King is that it is a fine school that offers a great, thorough, rigorous education to its students -- I want that for everyone here, but just the kids that are more well-off.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Malcolm X, I am happy with the development of my child and his education, and look forward to the many doors that will open for him because of the foundation laid before him at Malcolm X.

The people keep to themselves but there are a lot of families that live here.

It's pretty quiet except when the Ice cream truck rolls by. Lincoln park is a great little pet spot. There are several pet stores in the area". Theres a lot of noise here.
